AFTERBIRTH OF THE SHADOW KING is a Supply Drop expansion for Austin Ramsay's FitD mecha game Beam Saber (available here!), which reimagines it in the setting of a desert wasteland. A dust-swept ruin of a world full of bandits, strange animals and ruthless maniacs, which came about after the three-week battle between the powers of the old world and a mysterious entity they created, known only as the Shadow King.

AOTSK includes:

FOUR NEW PILOT PLAYBOOKS:

• The Baboon, the Beast of Panic, has powerful mobility skills, is equipped to deal with Rivals and Vendetta squads, and revels in loud, wanton destruction.
• The Jackal, the Beast of Doom, is able to mess with death itself, is an expert at stalking and tracking targets through the wastes, and gets a companion beast to accompany them on their journey.
• The Crocodile, the Beast of Luxury, is a hybrid playbook between a cunning infiltrator and an unstoppable juggernaut. They easily become (socially) invisible and can even integrate their Vehicle into their body cyborg-style.
• The Beetle, the Beast of Mind, is the immovable object to the Crocodile's unstoppable force. Aside from many ways to get value from their Armour, they can also delve deep into the world's esoteric mysteries.

TWO NEW SQUAD PLAYBOOKS:

• The Revenants, who die constantly. No, really, but don't worry, they get better. Make a mockery of death as you keep dipping in and out of the underworld, defying the reaper at every turn.
• The Praetors, a dark and stylish cult worshipping the Shadow King, with assassins, poisoners and other devilish servants at their disposals, and a penchant for... "spending Personnel".
